The new conspiracy titanium definitely has a smoother feeling upper mesh than the conspiracy 3. It feels softer and more forgiving, allowing my wide foot to fit in comfortably where it was very tight feeling before in the conspiracy 3. The lacing system and upper materials combined made a snug, but comfortable hold on my foot that stayed tight during both trail running and on day hikes as well. The new vibrant colouring of the upper and outsole as well is a nice addition as well which I believe will truly appeal to the active populace. The material is still very breathable also. Tested out in Kamloops on a warm day my feet were not sweaty or hot at all after 4 hours of hiking.

Never once throughout the climb did my foot feel tired or achy. The cushioning and construction of the outsole gives a fine balance between light weight running performance, and shock absorption so that the bottom of your feet feel comfortable the whole day on the trail no matter what you are doing. Running in the shoe felt comfortable and light, with excellent traction from the rubber outsole. Exactly what I am looking for when hitting the trail composed of gravel, dirt, roots or rocks.

I did wear it for a trip into Vancouver one day for some walking around to different shops, as well as a 2 hour walk along the seawall. I definitely could feel the achiness start in my feet after the first hour of walking on the hard pavement. From that I feel like this shoe is best to keep as an outdoor trail shoe, and not rely on it for a daily use shoe for anyone working on hard floors, cement or pavement all day. Testing it out at the Kintec Store location for a day while working confirmed this feeling that too long on hard surfaces tires my feet out in this shoe, probably due to the minimal cushioning it uses to keep it light for trail running where it doesn’t need as much shock absorption on the softer terrain.

Overall excellently designed shoe, excels in the areas of trail running/ hiking on softer terrain with excellent grip and weight for running, while still sturdy enough to support the foot after hours of hiking tough terrain. Fits a wider foot comfortably with the new Titanium grade upper materials. Not as durable for sustained city/indoor duty as much because the cushioning is not adequate enough to provide sufficient shock absorption on the hard floor surface.
